Mon

I decided to create a logo for myself that had a deeper meaning and was truly personal to me, I was inspired by Japanese mon. ‘Mon’ translates to ‘Crest’ and it is essentially a coat of arms for Japanese people but a lot more people have them in Japan rather than here in england where only a select few of aristocratic families have them. People who aren’t native to Japan can also have their own mon as long as it respects their culture and the guidelines.

I really enjoy looking at different mon from all over Japan and I wanted to try my own take on it. Each element represents a major part of my life, all pointing up towards the circle at the top which represents me.
